The only problem I have with it is finding a good browser to use.

Chrome is no longer supported; the Flash is out of date, Twitter doesnt work well, etc.

Are there any lightweight, lesser-known browsers that may help fix this issue I am running OS X 10.6.8 on this machine.

If anything you should possibly look at using a lightweight linux distro which will still be supported on your old hardware and so will the software.

Opera and Chrome are not much worse than Firefox although Chrome have the best performance.

Classilla is still updated for Classic Mac.
